CREGAR CLOSES DZIOBA'S DOOR

The Bear River Dodger's right handed pitcher Josiah Cregar was handed the ball by his team's manager John Dzioba with two outs in the bottom of the sixth and final inning with the tying run on second base with the Bear River Giants most dangerous hitter at the plate. Cregar took Clay Corippo to no balls and two strikes before getting him to ground out to his team's first baseman Seth Robinson to end the 4-3 affair. Bradley Dzioba pitch all but the last three pitches of the contest and threw a nearly flawless game. The only mistake was a pitch to Justin Kilgore who hit a two run shot over the left field fence to move the score to 4-2 in the fifth. The Dodgers had  pushed their lead to 4-0 when Elliot Bouchier singled, driving home two runs. Dzioba had command of his pitches the entire way until he hit his maximum pitch count. The Giants had opportunities to score throughout Saturday nights game but failed to deliver. The Dodger win, moves their lead to two games over the Giants, which puts them in the drivers seat to represent Bear River in the the Tournament of Champions as it sends only two teams to the post season.

The Dodgers )6-4) will face the top ranked team the Bear River Angels (9-1)  on Thursday at 7.
