Bear River Little League Alums, Zach Sween, Caleb Van Patten and Isacc Van Patten lead Valley Christian in an 11-0 first round playoff win over Tioga in five innings of play.
Valley scored one run in the first to take the lead, nine in the second and their last run of the game was scored in the fourth. The high school mercy rule states a team must have a lead by 10 or more after five innings of play for the rule to be in effect.
Hitting
Caleb Van Patten hit a double going 1 for 3 with a score.
Isaac Van Patten - was 0-1 at the plate.
Sween- went 1 for 1 with two runs scored.
Maxpreps.com also lists statistics that state VC's pitchers tossed a no hitter in the win while Tioga committed five errors in the loss.
The Sacramento Bee lists VC as it's favorite to win the Division VII Sac-Joaquin section championship.
