The Bear River Athletics hosted the Sierra Foothill Angels on Friday night. The A's came into the inter-league contest looking to awake their bats, as they have scored one run while dropped their past two match ups.
BR manager Dave Aldrich called on his hard throwing right handed pitcher Trevor Hennig to start on the hill who went four inning while giving up two unearned runs in the 8-2 win. Peyton McGovern came in relief for one and a third and Nathan Van Patten threw a third as did David Aldrich.
"Each one of the boys reached base at one one point or another in the game," said an A's coach. "The team effort at the plate our weight any individual effort tonight."
The A's are back on the diamond on Wednesday when they will host the Penn Valley Giants at 7 p.m.
