PIONEER VALLEY LEAGUE FOOTBALL OUTLOOK - PLAYOFF PICTURE - STANDINGS

The Pioneer Valley League football standings have two top teams. Placer and Center are 3-0 while the others continue to distance themselves from the playoff conversation.

Center defeated Bear River by a score of 36-0 while Placer kicked a field goal with seconds to play against Lincoln to win 10-7 on Friday night.

Placer's offense seems as if it is not what we thought it might have been as they have struggled to score in its past two contests. The Hillman started the season averaging almost 55 points per game and in their past two game have scored 14 and 10 respectively. The Placer defense is what is keep them in the game as they are allowing only one score per game.

Center on the other hand has a very good defense and an offense that has incredible speed. They score 36 against the Bruins where the Hillman only posted 14.

The two top PVL teams will meet on November 2 at Placer. While there are a few games to be played between now and then, this could be the game of the season.
