BEAR RIVER PEEWEE HOST NEVADA UNION 2012

Bear River's Junior Bruin football program has it's top team which is led by coach Cory Cregar hosting the Junior Miner's team which is looking for it's first real win. The Miner's win loss record (1-5) does reflect a victory which was due to forfeit.

Last season when two teams met the Bear River team was near the top in the standings much like this season while the Miners were near the bottom again much like this season. In the 2011 match up the Miners shocked many followers by defeating the Bruins in a low scoring contest at Hooper Stadium.

"I'm going to remind them of what happened last season all week," Cregar said as he spoke about how he planned to get his kids ready to play a struggling squad.

The Bruins (5-1) only loss was to Lincoln in a lopsided affair two weeks ago and the Miners are coming off a 6-0 loss to Grant. Bear River on the other had blew out the Pacers (36-6) as they have most of their opponents this season.

Bear River has averaged over 20 points per contest where the Miners have scored just one touchdown.

The Peewee kickoff is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bear River High School.
