BEAR RIVER JUNIOR BRUIN PEEWEE DEFENSE STANDS TALL

The words below are from Bear River Junior Bruin Peewee's defensive coordinator Jeff Jenkins after an 18-0 win over Nevada Union on Saturday. Click here for the game story!

"The entire defense performed superbly, only giving up one first down for the entire game. "

"Outstanding play by the entire defensive line made running up the middle nearly impossible for NU.  Standout linemen include Jared Baze, Gabe VanOrden, Noah Gravatt, and Sam Davis.  Nose tackle Dylan Dion forced a fumble that was recovered by Trae Nix."

"Our ever awesome linebackers (Jenkins, J Gravatt, and Kunde) were especially effective all around the ball with Logan forcing a fumble.  The corners (Tray Martin, Dylan Scott, and Clayton Anderson) were excellent on the outside keeping NU from getting any yardage off the ends."

"Safety Josiah Cregar was an excellent all-around player making many tackles and assist. I haven’t been able to watch the game film yet but I suspect NU gained less than 50 yards for the entire game giving Bear River excellent field position for most of the game."

The Peewee team is currently tied for first with Roseville and Lincoln in the North division and they travel to Roseville this Saturday.  It should be a very good game with the division title likely to be decided in this game.
