UPDATE - BEAR RIVER JUNIOR BRUINS AT BRADSHAW CHRISTIAN 9/8/12

The Bear River Junior Bruin Peewees traveled Saturday to Bradshaw Christian where they fell behind 12-0 at the end of the first quarter but made a few stratigic defensive adjustements and pulled off a 19-12 come from behind victory.

With the win the team sits a top the standings at 3-0.

Bear River running back Calder Kunde scored three touchdowns from close range including two in the second quarter as well as the go ahead score in the fourth.

After falling behind 12-0 the team's defensive coordinator Jeff Jenkins made a few adjustments on the fly that worked for the Junior Bruins as they held their opponent scoreless the remainder of the contest.

Also contributing was the combination of  quarterback Josiah Cregar who had many completions with one only one interception on the afternoon and his primary target as Jaden Gravatt who made several spectacular catches to keep the team's drives alive.

Daniel Tantem and Logan Jenkins carried the ball for long key runs setting up scoring opportunities for Bear River.

"This was a total team effort," Bear River coach Cory Cregar said. "It showed a lot of heart to come back and get the win."

The Junior Bruins program will have it's first home games on Saturday at Bear River High School as they host the Grant Pacers.
