The Lady Bruins Freshman Volleyball team hosted Nevada Union on Thursday at Jack McCrory Gymnasium. The Miners are a division one school while Bear River is division four and that was very apparent as the Lady Miners opened the contest with nine straight service points on way to a 25-13 first game win. Bear River did make a run after falling behind 16-2, but the outside hitters for the Miners were just to much for the much smaller team.
Bear River took a 2-0 lead to start the second game but the Miners did take the lead at 8-7. Bear River's servers were able to capitalize on a few NU miss communications to regain the lead at 18-17 but the Bruins never regained the lead as they fell 25-19.
