BROWN SOX BASEBALL 11U FIRST GAME JITTERS

The Brown Sox 11u baseball team is comprised for players from Penn Valley, Lincoln, Nevada City, Grass Valley and Bear River Little Leagues. We have had a few practices and while the boys looked fairly skilled you don't quite know what you have until you see them in game action.

We were the away team this past night so we batted first. Our lead off batter walked and scored ever though our number 2,3 and 4 hitter struck out. The first time through the batting order delivered many strikeouts to our team. It did not look good. We did get the bats rolling then next time through resulting in a 6-2 win.

We pitched seven different pitchers, giving up only four walks.

The defense was the difference in the contest as the boys only committed one error and turned a double play.

Really nice way to start the fall season.

On Sunday the Brown Sox will travel to Yuba City where they will take on the NorCal Bombers and the RC Tribe at Faith Christian High School at 9 a.m.
