BEAR RIVER MINOR TOC ROYALS RESULTS


The Bear River minor Royals' manager Brad Dalbon handed starting pitcher Connor Tidd the ball to start game one of the District 11 Tournament of Champions in Newcastle on Saturday. Tidd delivered four shut-out innings which was good for a 0-0 score. Tyler Knox closed the game out earning the win by a score of 5-3 over the Sierra Foothill Athletics.




The Royals took the lead by scoring three runs in the top of the fifth but the Athletics' answered with three of their own knotting the game in the bottom of the inning. Bear River scored two in the top of the sixth, the rally was led by Mathew Dalbon and Knox held the home team scoreless in the bottom half for the win.

Leading the way at the plate for Bear River were Tidd and Kadin Dooley.
The Royals will travel back to Newcastle on Monday at 5:30 p.m. when they will take on Mid-Placer in second round action.
