BEAR RIVER GIANTS ALIVE

The Bear River Giants knew they needed a win to keep their Tournament of Champions' hopes alive as they took to the field on Wednesday evening against the Grass Valley Cubs.

Giants manager Scott Kilgore called on his hard throwing right handed pitcher Clay Corripo to do the heavy lifting and the lifting he did. Coripp threw a no hit shout out which was good for a 1-0 win

The Giants scored in the fourth inning on a walk to Jake Rogers, who then made it to second as well as third by way of passed balls. Rogers made it home when the Cubs catcher attempted to pick him off at third, he broke for home and made it safely for the game's only run.

The Bear River Dodgers will need to win their Thursday night game against the Nevada City Angels or their season will conclude, while the Giant can only sit and wait the game's outcome.
