BROWN SOX SPLIT IN TWIN BILL - GOLDEN SPIKES

It was the first week of November when the Brown Sox 11u team traveled to Roseville to take on the Golden Spikes.

In the first game both teams had solid pitching but it was the Spikes who played strong defense while the Sox failed to make plays for their pitchers Jake, Justin and James.

The host team also hit the ball well where the visitors finished with only three in the game. The Spikes won the first game by a score of 9-3.

The second game was almost a carbon copy of the first, but the teams switched rolls. The Sox starting pitcher Dean went three innings giving up one run on two hits while delivering 5 spikes strikeouts. Brekyn finished off the game, twice pitching out of a jam.

The Sox used timely hitting, strong base running as well as making plays in the field to earn the win in the second game by a score of 6-3.

This was the last game of the 2012 season for the 11u team, be sure to check back in February for more Brown Sox 11u action.
