PLACER - BEAR RIVER - NU FOOTBALL - PLAYOFF SCHEDULE

With the passing of Day Light Savings time, it can mean only one thing. It it time for the high school football playoffs. While we knew Placer and Bear River's football teams would get a bid, the Miners surprised many by also getting a bid. The PVL 2012 champion Hillman will host Hillmar on Friday night at 7:00 pm November 9th. Placer enters the post season tournament as the #1 seed therefore if they can find a way to keep winning they could have as many as three consecutive home contests. Many area residents feel if they can win the section championship they will have a shot a their first State Bowl game.

The Bear River Bruins will travel to Modesto on Friday night for their first round Sac-Juaquin Section playoff game where they will go toe to toe with Central Catholic. Kick off is at 7:00 pm. The Bruins finished the season at 8-2 only falling to Placer and Center.  Click here for the D-IV sectin bracket Many thought the Miners would be on the outside looking in in regards to the post season but their strength of schedule showed other wise.
