BEAR RIVER - NU FOOTBALL PLAYOFF RESULTS

Nevada County's two high school football teams drew tough opponents on Friday night and the final scores showed just how tough the match ups were.

The Bruins traveled to Central Catholic and fell 63-20 in Division IV and The Miners fell to #1 seed Franklin 35-14 in Division I.

Many sports enthusiast in the grater Sacramento area have stated Franklin could be playing in a state bowl game and Central Catholic is expected to play Placer in the Sac-Joaquin section final in a couple of weeks.

The 2012 football season is now over for both local high school football teams.
