LAKE OF THE PINES LEECH SOLUTION DEPLOYEED

I hear Lake of the Pines will be receiving two to four thousand blue gill which are being deployed to combat the leeches in the lake. I have fished that lake many times so I can say with great confidence, look out blue gill there are some very large bass that are surely going to eat you.

The under lying problem with Lake of the Pines' leeches is most fisherman practice catch and release. That may seem like a good policy if one was managing a body of water to produce larger fish. But what this lake might need is smaller fish. Keep a few big bass once in a while and the leech problem could take care of itself.
