The Bear River Junior Bruin Football program kicks off the season opener on the road at Del Campo on Saturday August 18.
JR. PEEWEE
The Bear River Junior PeeWee football team started the season on a positive note on Saturday with a land-slide win on the road over Del Campo 32-0. The BR squad was led by a team defense that gave up little to no yardage all morning and only allowing five first down in the contest. BR Coach John Dzioba also stated his special teams recovered two on-side kickoffs which gave his team great field position.
On the offensive side of the ball it was Colton Jenkins who delivered three touchdowns Andre Furlano also scored two and Tyler Dzioba fought his way across the goal time for two points after touchdowns.
The BR PeeWee squad only made one mistake all day, they lost the coin flip. The loss of the flip which resulted in the Bruins recovering an on-side kick. Jaden Gravatt scored the first of his two touchdowns on the first play from the line of scrimmage of the game on a 65 yard reverse play as Bear River finished the contest 33-0.
Calder Kunde also scored twice, John Pallanger scored once on a 10 yard run and Daniel Tantum delivered two long runs along with five sacks
"It was a team effort," said coach Cory Cregar. "The defense only allowed one first down all day."

Junior Midgets
The Bear River Junior Midget's defense gave up only six points in the contest but failed to score falling 6-0.
