WHERE TO CATCH TIGER TROUT

I got word from a fishing friend recently of a trout I have never caught. The Tiger trout.

He said...
this was an amazing catch on saturday, while we were fishing Galena creek, here in reno, i caught a very nice sized Tiger Trout, which we have never caught before in the local region! for Galena creek, this is both a nice size, and an amazing catch.

Another fishing buddy told me they are also in Spooner and Hobart lakes.

What makes this fish hard to catch is the Tiger trout is sterile. It is a hybrid fish which is derived from the eggs of a Brown trout and the sperm of a Brook trout. This does not happen in the wild therefore these are planted fish and finding a body of water that holds this type of planter is very difficult.
