B.R.L.L. 11 HITS LIFT TIGERS OVER GRASS VALLEY CUBS


The Bear River LL Major Tigers pounded the GV Cubs on Thursday 13-5 at BR major field in six innings of play on Thursday night.
BR scored five runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Mason Giordano, an RBI single by Ryan Bradford, a walk by Shane Boyer, and a two-run single by Calob Hurst.
Hurst racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Bear River LL Major Tigers.
Porter Elliot recorded the win for the Tigers allowing three unearned runs over one inning while Giordano threw the middle three innings thriking out 8 Cub batters with Dean Hopper closing for the Tigers with 3 stikeouts in the top of the 6th.
The Bear River knocked around the GV Cubs pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for seven hits, nine RBIs and seven runs scored.
The Bear River didn't relinquish the lead after scoring five runs in the first inning when they scored on a two-run single by Connor Castorina, two steals of home, and a walk by Hurst.
The Tigers survived the GV Cubs' surge and put up three runs of their own in the fourth. The Bear River LL Major Tigers scored on an RBI double by Hurst and a two-run triple by Connor Tidd.
Alex Bohn, Hopper and Connor Tidd had triples in the win.
