BEAR RIVER LITTLE LEAGUE - RESULTS


On Monday night the BR Brewers used solid pitching and base running while playing the BR Yankees which resulted in a 3-2 victory to move their record to 2-0.

Both managers started the game with 10 year old pitchers on the bump. Cole Winter for the Brewers gave up no runs while Colton Jenkins for the Yankees gave up a run in the first on a fielders choice.

Ethan Warner who took the loss for the Yankees took over pitching duties with the score 1-0 in the 3rd.

Elliott Bouchere came on in relief  in top of 4 but only got one batter out when Josiah Cregar was called to duty with runners at 1st and second with one out. He proceeded to strikeout the first batter followed by Payton McGovern signle which knotted score. Logan Jenkins delivered a single up middle which moved the score to 2-1 Yankees. 

Brewers answered back scoring one run on an errant throw and got the go ahead run on a sacrifice fly by Josh Howser to take a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 4th. 

Cregar knocked down the Yankees 3 up 3 down in top of 5th. Warner followed with holding the Brewers scoreless in the 5th and Cregar closed the game 1-2-3 for the Brewers win 3-2.
