LITTLE LEAGUE MAJOR'S ROUNDUP - BRLL, PVLL, NCLL

The Bear River Brewers moved their record to 4-0 in a 9-3 contest at Pioneer Park on Saturday evening behind starting pitcher Anthony Vierra while playing the Nevada City Giants.

Vierra went 4 innings giving up 2 runs. He was relieved by Elliott Bouchere who went 1/3 of an inning, he up 2 runs. Josiah Cregar shutdown the Giants rally as he came in for Bouchere. Dylan Scott went 1-2-3 in the 6th for the Brewers on the bump.

Leading the Brewers at the plate were Colton Shipman who drove in 2 RBI with a single, Jeremy Rodriguez with a clutch bunt that scored a run. Colby Lunsford provided 2 hits.

The game was close most of the way as the score was 5-3 into the fifth frame until the Brewers broke it open by scoring 4 in the sixth. The Brewers did leave the bases loaded four times and scored most of their runs on past balls.

On the same evening the Penn Valley White Sox thrashed the Penn Valley Cubs in a four inning game, both teams came into the game without a loss. This sets up a very important game for both the BR Brewers and the PV White Sox on Tuesday at 6 at Bear River as both team sit at the top of  the standings without a loss.

The Bear River Athletics also stayed perfect on Saturday as they dropped the Forest Hill 13-12.
