BEAR RIVER FROSH VOLLEYBALL GOLDEN SIERRA

On Thursday afternoon the Bear River Lady Bruin's Freshman volleyball team hosted Golden Sierra at Jack McCrory Gymnasium on the campus of Bear River High School in Southern Nevada County. Bear River fought hard but could not over come trailing early in all three games. The loss moves the Lady Bruins to 1-3 in pre-regular season play.

Neither team led by more than 3 points from the start to the finish in game one. The teams were knotted at 24 all when the Bruins moved a head to 25- 24 but failed to capitalize falling 27-25.

In game two Bear River once again fell behind 11~8 but managed to rallied back to take the lead at 13~12 and cruised to a 25-18 victory.

In the tie-breaker the Bruins attempted to play catch up as they trailed 3~1. The game was knotted at 4~4, 7~7 and 9~9. But Golden Sierra moved the score to 13~10 and closed out the match at 15~12.

While the team's record stands at 1-3, the girls are improving and making plays on a regular basis.

On Tuesday Bear River's Volleyball team will travel to Davis.
