AUBURN FOOD TRUCK FIESTA - UNCLE JUNIOR

On Friday night at Auburn's Recreation Park, many food trucks rolled in as did many patrons. The lines for food and beverages at the event (which benefited Auburn's Bike Park) were very long as the Fiesta drew more guests than organizers had anticipated. The two big hits of the night were Bacon Mania and Uncle Junior.

Bacon Mania offered, you guessed it bacon! Click here for their menu.

Uncle Junior on the other hand served up a soulful sound which was vary familiar but at the same time quite unique. I heard attendees compare their retro-grove to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Primus and Lenny Kravitz. They delivered original tunes as well as cover songs which kept the audience interested and bobbing to the beat as well as dancing for at least two hours. The audience ranged from the very young to the mature and this must see band entertained the entire range.

Uncle Junior, Funk/Rock band which features Roderick Bell on vocals, Steven Ertola on guitar, Reid Kurks on Drums, Andy Brooding on bass and Chad Deacon on Saxophones. Roderick, Steven, Andy and Chad are all graduates of Bear River High School in Grass Valley, Ca

If you happened to miss Friday's show then mark your calendars for September 14th when the Band will be back on stage at the Auburn Rec. Center as will Mojo Green.
