The Magnolia 7th grade boys basketball team finished in the top spot at the Bulldog Classic basketball tournament in Colfax this past weekend when they avenged two earlier losses this season by defeating the Raiders of 7-Hills by a score of 29-27 in the Championship game.
Leading the way for the Rattlers was Clay Corippo who earned All-Tournament honors while Stephen Taylor earned the Most Valuable Player award. Zach Rubey and Sam Nichols pounded the glass while Kaden Ahlberg was called on to knocked down the 3-ball.
The team improved to 13-3 on the season and will be back in action when they hit the road with games against Weimar Hills on Tuesday and then at to 7-Hills on Thursday.
