The shocker game of the day took place in the 9/10 where the Bear River All-Stars delivered a mercy rule game over Tri-City Little League 11-1.
Also Lincoln defeated the Bear River 10/11 All-Star team by a score of 16-5.
In Major's Action Bear River fell in a 7 inning game by a score of 4-1. Logan Jenkins delivered a home run early in the contest which led his team to extra innings. Nathan Van Patten threw 85 pitches and only allowed 1 Tri-City runs. Reid Zolldan threw 39 pitches in relief and gave up 3 runs in the 7th. BR battled to get two runner aboard in the bottom of the 7th but failed to score. With the loss Bear River is out of the tournament.
Pioneer Park
In the 5 p.m. game it was Sierra Foothill who came to play as they scored at will in the 5th inning when Penn Valley's pitcher threw 65 pitches as they fell 21-0.
In the 7 p.m. game it was Nevada City who stayed in the winners bracket behind a top notch pitching performance as well as timely hitting including a bases loaded triple by Dustin Thompson which delivered a 10-2 victory over Grass Valley.
