NEVADA UNION BASKETBALL ALUMNI GAME - OLD GUYS RULE

The Miner's Alumni game was filled with MVPs, professional baseball and football as well as college players who left Ali Gymnasium with one more victory to add to their resumes as they dropped the 2012/13 NU varsity team by a score of 70-59.

The varsity team took the lead at 2-0 off the opening tip but then trailed until the 3:46 mark in the fourth when Ian Davis who scored 16 points and Cody Gardner knocked down multiple three pointers to knot the score at 55-55 but Kelib Thompson who scored 17 on the night for the Alums was a beast in the middle knocked down 3 consecutive shots which changed the momentum of the final minutes.

While the old guys ruled the Miners had moments that looked very promising for the 2012-13 season. Jeff Dellis' team has some very good outside shooters and ball handlers.

On Monday night both the boys and girls varsity teams will host El Dorado for their Foundation game. All proceeds from the zero week game goes to the CIF's not for profit foundation.

Please check back on Thanksgiving for a replay of tonight's contest.
