CRAZY WEEK FOR BEAR RIVER CROSS COUNTRY

After a crazy week of racing, three meets in seven days, Bear River finished up with the Bronco Invitational at Willow Hill Cross Country Course in Folsom on Saturday. The Bruins were focused on getting a solid race in on the future Section's course since they are a young team and many runners have not been on the course.

Top performances of the day were turned in by Alex Coffman, Sierra Mitchell, and Patrick Gillis. Coffman finished the 5K boys varsity race in 18th place with a time of 17:16. Mitchell covered the 5K course in 21:47 for a 27th place finish in the girls varsity. Gillis continues to improve and show why the freshman runner has a bright future with a 17th place finish in a time of 13:07 for 3400m.

Freshman Cecilia Malik continues to impress as she holds on to her number four spot on varsity.  She cruised the 5K course in a time of 23:23.

The Bruins finish up the regular season with their third league meet coming up in a week and a half where the girls varsity will square off with Placer for the PVL team championship. On the individual side, Lady Bruin Mary Nattrass will go for the clean sweep and individual PVL champ.
