Despite being short-handed, the Bear River Cross Country team turned in some great individual performances as many personal records (PR) were registered at Granite Regional Park in Sacramento.

The Bruins raced 'The Other Meet' and started the day's competition with the Girls Frosh / Soph division.  Olivia Kirks was the first Lady Bruin to cross the finish line in 9th place for the 2.2 mile race in a time of 15:49 and a new PR.

Freshman Patrick Gillis continued to show why he is a rising star for Bear River as he finished the 2.2 mile course in 13:47.  Next up was the Varsity Girls and Junior Sierra Mitchell led the squad with a top 15 finish crossing the line in a new PR of 21:02.

The last race of the day was the JV Boys and Girls and Senior Lauren Beavers raced herself to a new PR for 2.2 miles in 16:45 and a 4th place finish.

Next up for the Bruins is the 2nd Pioneer Valley League Meet at Colfax High School on Wednesday, October 10th at 3:30pm.
