BEAR RIVER LITTLE LEAGUE - POWELL'S ARM AND MCGOVERN BAT LEAD YANKEES


Justin Powell struck out 7 in the first 3.2 innings for the Yankees while Peyton McGovern threw 2.1 striking out 4 Grass Valley Angles. But it was McGovern's bases loaded hit that delivered for the walk off 2-1 victory on Tuesday night.

Brandon Sorenson led the Yankees hitter going 2 for 3 but it was Colton Jenkins' who went 1 for 2 that delivered a double for the other RBI for the Yankees in the fourth for the win.

The Yankees have won four consecutive game and will be back on the diamond on Saturday at 4 pm when they take on the Sierra Foothill Angels at Bear River's majors field while the Angels will take on the BR Tigers on Thursday at 6 pm at Bear River. The Tigers have won their past three contests.
