PVL BASEBALL SENDS THREE AFTER COIN FLIP

The Pioneer Valley League is sending three baseball teams into the post season which will see it's first pitch on Monday, May 14. The regular season play ended with Placer in first place but the remaining two spots were still up for grabs as there was a three way tie for the remaining two spots. The CIF held a coin flip where one team would receive an automatic bid and Colfax won that flip. That left Lincoln and Center on the wrong side of the coin. They were required to play a head to head contest on Friday for the final slot on the bracket.  The Fighting Zebras of Lincoln were led to an 11-3 victory in the contest over Center by their freshman shortstop Isaiah Garcia who went 5 for 5 from the plate.

Placer and Colfax will have home games in the first round where Lincoln will play on the road on Monday. If you would like to see the CIF Sac-Joaquin Div III section baseball playoff bracket click here.
