The Rattlers of Magnolia faced what could be their toughest opponent at home to tip-off their 2013 boys basketball season. The Raiders of Seven Hills are a cohesive group of young men who have played Rec ball together for many years under the leadership of Nevada Union JV football and baseball coach Dennis Houlihan.

The game went into the half with the visiting team leading by 3 points. There were many lead changes in the first 16 minutes but the contest could have been more lopsided if 7-Hill could have converted on many break away layups as they closed out the game with the score of 30-19.

The Rattlers made an attempt to make a late game run with shooting three point shots which resulted in long rebounds and fast breaks which the Raiders converted. The final score was wide but the game was close to start the final stanza. The Rattlers pressed the final 8 minutes which 7-Hills had little difficulty with which extended the lead as well as the final score.
