As the Bear River Little League's regular season comes to a close it is clear that two Bear River teams have clinched their post season bids while two additional races are still up in the air.

Team Won Lost Tied Pct. GB RF RA
BR Giants 18 2 0 .900 -- 201 96
BR Angels 10 8 0 .556 7.0 157 118

The two Bear River Junior teams go head to head today at 10 a.m. which is their last scheduled regular season game. The Giants will represent Bear River Little league at the Tournament of Champions which gets underway June 18 where they will take on Lincoln.

Team Won Lost Tied Pct. GB RF RA
BR Angels 16 1 0 .941 -- 181 44
BR Dodgers 9 5 0 .643 5.5 88 65
BR Giants 11 7 0 .611 5.5 126 70
BR A's 5 9 0 .357 9.5 76 95

Bear River sends it's top two teams to the Tournament of Champions, first pitch is June 18. Mathematically the Angels are already in, but the second bid is not so clear as of 6/9/12 at 9 a.m. Both the Dodgers and the Giants have two games to play on the schedule.

If the League's website is current and up to date then the season is not over for the Dodgers or the Giants.

If the Dodgers drop their remaining two games they would finish regular season play with a win percentage of .560 where if the Giants were to win their games they would finish with a .650 percentage.

If the Dodgers win one and lose one they would finish at .625 and if the Giants also split they would finish at .600.

The Giants have played and won more games than the Dodgers therefore their percentage could be higher, but on the flip side the Dodgers did defeat the Giants in both their regular season contests.

So the bottom line is the Dodgers hold all the cards but with a little help the Giants could mathematically slip in the back door.

BR Royals 9 4 1 .679 4.0 109 77

BR Cardinals 8 9 0 .471 7.0 146 131
BR Blue Jays 2 10 3 .233 10.5 78 133

Bear River sends only one team to the District 11 minor's Tournament of Champions. The team which represents has no bearing on the regular season standings as BR holds a season ending tournament for their only bid. The final seeding for the Bear River Minor's Tournament will be available on Saturday night after the season ends.
