BROWN SOX 12U FALL IN CHAMPIONSHIP


The Brown Sox 12u baseball team took to the field at Redwood Park in Sacramento for a two day tournament on October 26 and 27th. They made it to the championship game with a 4-3 win on Sunday over the River City Outlaws where Bennett King picked up the win while Ryan Bradford got the save. The Sox's bats when quite as they fell in the championship game to Sacramento Baseball Organization under windy and cold conditions. Dustin Thompson scored the Sox only run in the championship game which can on an RBI single by Dean Hopper in the top of the first inning.

On day one of the tournament the Sox dropped the Outlaws 10-2 and Best Speed Baseball by a score of 12-5. Which was good enough for the tournaments #1 seed going into championship Sunday.

Tucker Ramos went 6 for 6 with two doubles and Trevor Nielsen went 4 for 4 while Hopper went 4 for 6 with two doubles and triple and a home run on Saturday.

The Brown Sox carry an overall record of 18-5 for the fall season.

The Sox will host the Lincoln Tribe on Sunday at Western Gateway Park.
