BEAR RIVER LITTLE LEAGUE - TIGERS OVER GIANTS


The Bear River Tigers scored five runs in the top of the first frame on Friday night while battling the Sierra Foothill Giants who made a late game come back but fell short falling 7-6 to the visiting team.

Ryan Bradford started on the bump for the Tigers who gave up three runs on four hits with three strikeouts in two innings of work. Braden Fowler relieved for the Tigers for two innings allowing 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out 4 Giant's hitters. Nine year old Brennan Schad relieved Fowler giving up 1 run on 2 hits with a strike out in the fifth inning while Dean Hopper closed the game giving up no runs with 3 strikeouts in the win.

Alex Bohn, Bradford and Hopper all delivered two hit for the Tigers with Bohn driving in 2 runs while Hopper hit the top of the fence for a double and Bradford hit a hard line drive to right which resulted in a triple. Bradford and Hopper scored two runs a piece of the 7 runs for the Tigers.

The Tigers had 11 hit while the Giants had 8.
