The District 11 Little League Junior division Area II ( Auburn, Bear River, Grass Valley, Nevada City, Sierra Foothill and Penn Valley) will gain a lot of clarity over the next week. But before we look forward let's take a look at where we are at the moment.

The Top teams are the Grass Valley A's (5-0) and the Bear River Red Sox (3-0), the only unbeaten teams. The Auburn Orioles (6-1) fell to the team with the most wins by a score of 23-5. The Penn Valley White Sox (4-2) lost their first game of the season to Grass Valley Cardinals (1-1) by a score of 8-2 and then took their second loss this week to the Orioles by a score of 7-5. To recap the teams at the top of race are the GV A's, BRLL Red Sox and the PV White Sox.

Now to look at the up coming games. On Saturday Red Sox will host the Orioles at 11 a.m. and then again on May 6th in Auburn. The A's on the other hand will not play a top ranked team until the last few weeks of the season but they will have to play the White Sox and the Red Sox twice as well as the Orioles one more time but this time in Auburn.

The remaining teams in the local Junior division are at .500 or below. It is to early to count any team out at the moment as many of the teams have rain out games to make up.
