DIRTBAGS TAKE THE FIELD

Play-ball is what an umpire yells at the onset of a baseball game. This Sunday at 9:30 at Western Gateway Park in Penn Valley you can hear just that as this will be the location and time for the official first pitch for the 2013 Little League season in the foothills.  

The newly formed D-11 Dirtbags a 50/70 team comprised of players from Nevada City Little League, Bear River Little League and Penn Valley Little League will be hosting the FALL Red team from Folsom and later that day they will play Gold Rush of Lotus.

The Dirtbags roster lists boys aged 11 to 13 who will play full rules baseball on a field which has a 50-foot pitchers mound and 70-foot base paths.
